The African Union Chamber of Commerce Human Rights Council responsibility is to make sure that all people of Africa is treated in a Humane manner by their Governments.Any violation by any African country's Government or person are investigated by the Human Rights Council, and if found guilty, appropriate action is refered to the Peoples Action Committee to take the necassary steps to bring the guilty party to book.

International Criminal Court Arrest warrants is monitored by the chamber's Justice Committee and the committee's task is to ensure that the arrest warrants are enforced in Africa.

The Africa Chamber Advocate is the Chamber's monthly print newsletter. It is published and circulated to both members and non-members as part of Business Africa Magazine. Business Africa Magazine is Africa's most senior and widely-read business publication. Chamber members can access special ad rates for this publication. Often times, the Chamber is invited to offer opinion and feedback regarding all types of business issues. From legislation changes to the Workers Compensation Act to pre-budget meetings with Provincial and National Minister's, Chamber staff and volunteers are on the ground working for the rights of members. COMMITTEES The Chamber has a wide variety of standing committees, task forces and event organizing committees where you can have fun, make business contacts and a contribution to the community.
Communications Policy ProgramThe Marketing & Communications Committee This committee provides direction on the development of marketing and communication initiatives and aims to help reinforce the Chamber's reputation as a leading Voice of Business in Africa. This committee works closely with Chamber staff and, when needed, liaises with the other Chamber program and policy committees to provide strategic counsel on the positioning of policy papers, event marketing, and other activities including the biennial membership survey. Who should join this committee? Individuals from member companies who are specialists in the fields of public relations, marketing, writing, and media relations are encouraged to volunteer on this committee. Individuals who are interested in developing these types of skills are invited to join this committee.
